Ingredients

  • 8 large quail eggs
  • 4 cups Romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup croutons
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (finely grated)
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper(optional)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a small pot of water to a gentle boil. Carefully add the quail eggs and cook for 5–6 minutes for jammy yolks, then drain and rinse under cool water.

  2. 2

Halve the cooled quail eggs. Chop or tear the romaine into bite-size pieces and place in a bowl.

  3. 3

Stir the Caesar dressing with the Parmesan (and lemon juice if using). Toss the romaine with the dressing until evenly coated.

  4. 4

Top with halved quail eggs and croutons. Finish with black pepper (and a drizzle of olive oil if desired) and serve immediately.
