  • 24 ounces Marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 pinch Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

Boil the ziti in salted water until al dente, about 2 minutes less than the package directions, then drain.

  3. 3

In a medium bowl, stir together the ricotta cheese, egg, half of the Parmesan, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  4. 4

In the large pot used for the pasta, toss the cooked ziti with the marinara sauce until evenly coated.

  5. 5

Spread half of the sauced ziti into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  6. 6

Dollop the ricotta mixture over the pasta and spread gently, then top with 1 cup of mozzarella.

  7. 7

Layer the remaining ziti on top, followed by the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

  8. 8

Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly, then let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
