Cooking with Robots costs $0 per month. There is no subscription, premium tier, or recipe limit. If you choose to send missing groceries to Instacart, you pay Instacart for that order and Cooking with Robots may earn an affiliate fee.
Your pantry items are stored with your account so the app can personalize recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists. Cooking with Robots does not sell your personal or pantry data. Pantry photos are sent through an OpenRouter-hosted vision model to identify food and are not retained by Cooking with Robots after processing. You can delete individual pantry items or delete your account and associated data in Settings.
Cooking with Robots compares recipe ingredients with your saved pantry and builds a grocery list for the gaps. You can shop from that list yourself or, only when you choose, send the missing items to Instacart. Using Instacart is optional.
Recipes and nutrition values are AI-generated estimates, not medical advice or a substitute for a dietitian. The app applies your saved allergy and dietary rules during generation and runs an additional ingredient filter, but AI can still make mistakes. Always review every ingredient, package label, cooking temperature, and doneness yourself, especially for a severe allergy or medical condition.
The planner asks for varied proteins, vegetables, and starches, then ranks duplicate titles and repeated non-staple ingredients lower when it builds a week. Repeats can still happen when preferences, allergies, pantry contents, or the available recipe pool leave few suitable options. You can replace any meal you do not want.
