Ingredients
- 1 cup Fresh grated coconut
- 0.25 cup Roasted gram (Pottukadalai)
- 3 pieces Green chilies
- 0.5 inch Ginger
- 1 piece Garlic clove(optional)
- 0.75 teaspoon Salt
- 2 teaspoons Coconut oil
- 0.5 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 0.5 teaspoon Urad dal
- 8 leaves Curry leaves
- 1 piece Dried red chili
- 0.5 cup Water

Place the fresh grated coconut, roasted gram, green chilies, ginger, and garlic into a blender jar.

Add salt and about 1/4 cup of water to start the blending process.

Grind to a smooth paste, adding the remaining water gradually until you reach a thick, pourable consistency.

Transfer the blended chutney into a serving bowl.

Heat coconut oil in a small tempering pan (tadka pan) over medium heat.

Add mustard seeds and let them splutter, then add the urad dal and fry until golden brown.

Add the dried red chili and curry leaves, letting them crisp up for a few seconds.

Pour this hot tempering over the chutney and mix gently before serving with idli or dosa.
