Ingredients

  • 180 g Pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 120 g Canned tuna (drained)
  • 60 g Olives (pitted, sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest(optional)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped) or dried herbs
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp Salt(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until al dente, about 10–12 minutes, then drain and rinse briefly under cool water if serving cold (or drain well if serving hot).

  2. 2

While the pasta cooks, mix tuna, olives, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest (if using), and herbs in a bowl. Taste and add black pepper (and salt only if needed).

  3. 3

Toss the hot or cooled pasta with the tuna-olive mixture until evenly coated. If serving cold, chill 5–10 minutes; if serving hot, toss immediately and serve.
