Ingredients

  • 2 cups Plain Greek yogurt or thick curd
  • 0.5 cup Cucumber, finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup Tomato, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup Red onion, finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup Carrot, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Kala Namak (Black salt)(optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 small Green chili, minced(optional)

Instructions

    Place the yogurt in a large mixing bowl and whisk until it is completely smooth and creamy.

    If the yogurt is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water or milk to reach your desired consistency.

    Add the finely chopped cucumber, tomatoes, onions, and grated carrots to the whisked yogurt.

    Stir in the roasted cumin powder, black salt, regular salt, and red chili powder.

    Add the minced green chili and half of the fresh cilantro, then fold everything together gently.

    Taste and adjust the salt or spices according to your preference.

    Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with the remaining cilantro and a pinch of cumin powder.

    Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
