Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked white rice (day-old preferred)
  • 1 cup Kimchi, chopped
  • 6 oz Imitation crab sticks, torn into pieces
  • 1.5 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 tbsp Kimchi juice or soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced
  • 2 large Eggs(optional)
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil(optional)
  • 1 tsp Toasted sesame seeds(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep all ingredients: chop the kimchi, tear the imitation crab sticks into bite-sized pieces, mince the garlic, and slice the green onions (about 8 minutes).

  2. 2

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and chopped kimchi and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and slightly caramelized.

  3. 3

Push the kimchi mixture to one side of the pan. If using eggs, crack them into the empty side and scramble until just set, about 1 minute.

  4. 4

Add the cooked rice, breaking up any clumps, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, mixing everything together until the rice is heated through and coated.

  5. 5

Stir in the garam masala, kimchi juice or soy sauce, and imitation crab pieces. Cook for another 2 minutes, tossing gently so the crab doesn't break apart too much.

  6. 6

Remove from heat, drizzle with sesame oil, and top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
