Ingredients

  • 2 fillets salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium if available)
  • 1 tbsp chili paste or sriracha
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lime juice)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil(optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds(optional)
  • 1 tbsp green onions, sliced(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep (10 minutes): Pat salmon dry. Mince garlic and grate ginger. In a small bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, chili paste, rice vinegar, and (if using) sesame oil until smooth.

  2. 2

Cook (15 minutes): Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 10–12 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily. (Alternatively, pan-sear over medium-high heat 3–4 minutes per side.)

  3. 3

Glaze: Brush or spoon the honey-chili mixture over the salmon. Return to oven for 2–3 minutes (or simmer in the pan for 1–2 minutes) to set the glaze.

  4. 4

Finish: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions (if using). Serve immediately.
