- 0.5 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
- 0.5 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 0.5 cup Red onion, finely diced
- 1 tablespoon Ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
- 0.25 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 0.5 cup Vegetable oil for frying

Pat the drained chickpeas thoroughly dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy texture.

In a food processor, pulse the chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, and cilantro until coarsely ground but not pureed.

Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and stir in the cumin, coriander, salt, and lemon juice.

Sprinkle the flour and baking powder over the mixture and stir until well combined and the mixture holds together when squeezed.
