Ingredients

  • 600 g Beef sirloin, cut into 1‑inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Ground coriander
  • ½ tsp Red chili powder
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Fresh ginger, grated
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ cup Fresh cilantro leaves
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt (full‑fat)
  • 1 small Green chili, finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp Salt (for chutney)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a large bowl combine beef cubes, olive oil, cumin, coriander, chili powder, garlic, ginger, and ½ tsp salt; toss to coat and let marinate at room temperature for 20 minutes.

  2. 2

Thread the marinated beef onto metal or soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between pieces.

  3. 3

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium‑high heat; cook the skewers 4‑5 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to an internal temperature of 71 °C (160 °F).

  4. 4

While the beef grills, make the cilantro‑lime chutney: blend cilantro, lime juice, Greek yogurt, green chili, and ¼ tsp salt in a food processor until smooth; adjust seasoning if needed.

  5. 5

Serve the hot skewers drizzled with the chutney and garnish with extra cilantro leaves.
