Ingredients

  • 2 cups Plain Yogurt (Curd)
  • 1 cup Salted Boondi
  • 1 teaspoon Roasted Cumin Powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Salt (Kala Namak)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Chaat Masala
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Cilantro, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sugar(optional)
  • 2 cups Warm Water
  • 5 leaves Fresh Mint Leaves(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Soak the boondi in 2 cups of warm water for about 5 to 10 minutes until they become soft.

  2. 2

Gently squeeze the soaked boondi between your palms to remove excess water and oil, then set aside.

  3. 3

In a large mixing bowl, whisk the yogurt until it is smooth and creamy with no lumps.

  4. 4

Add the roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, black salt, chaat masala, and sugar to the whisked yogurt.

  5. 5

Mix the spices thoroughly into the yogurt until well combined.

  6. 6

Add the softened boondi to the yogurt mixture and fold in gently to avoid breaking the pearls.

  7. 7

Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and mint leaves.

  8. 8

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes before serving for the best flavor profile.
