Recipe serves 3
Ingredients
- 3 pieces Black cod fillets
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons Soy sauce (low-sodium)
- 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Lime juice
- 1 teaspoon Erythritol
- 2 tablespoons Green onions, sliced(optional)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh cilantro, chopped(optional)
Instructions
- 1
Pat the cod fillets dry and season lightly with salt; set aside.
- 2
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, lime juice, erythritol, minced garlic, grated ginger, Sichuan peppercorns, and chili flakes to form the glaze.
- 3
Heat olive oil in a non‑stick skillet over medium‑high heat (about 2 minutes). Add the cod fillets and sear 3‑4 minutes per side until golden and just cooked through.
- 4
Reduce heat to medium, pour the glaze over the fish, and simmer for 2‑3 minutes, spooning the sauce over the fillets until it thickens and coats the cod.
- 5
Transfer the cod to serving plates, drizzle any remaining glaze from the pan, and garnish with sliced green onions and cilantro if desired.
