Ingredients

  • 12 oz Flank steak (thinly sliced)
  • 4 cups Broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 tbsp Neutral oil (for stir-frying)
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep (10 minutes): Slice beef thinly across the grain if needed. Toss beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and black pepper (if using). Mince garlic and cut broccoli into bite-size florets.

  2. 2

Cook (15 minutes): Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat until hot. Add neutral oil, then sear beef in a single layer for 1–2 minutes per side (work in batches if needed) until browned but still tender; remove to a plate.

  3. 3

In the same pan, add broccoli with a splash of water (about 1–2 tbsp) and stir-fry 3–5 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender.

  4. 4

Add garlic and stir-fry 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Return beef to the pan.

  5. 5

Stir together oyster sauce and water, pour into the pan, and toss to coat. Cook 1–2 minutes until glossy and thickened. Turn off heat and drizzle sesame oil (if using) before serving.
