Ingredients

  • 2 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 8 ounces bok choy, halved
  • 2 tablespoons water(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the chicken thighs dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium‑high heat; add the chicken thighs skin‑side down and sear 4‑5 minutes until golden, then flip.

  3. 3

While the chicken cooks, whisk together soy sauce, ginger, garlic, honey, and water in a small bowl.

  4. 4

Pour the glaze over the chicken, reduce heat to medium, and cook another 6‑8 minutes, basting occasionally, until the chicken reaches 165 °F and the glaze thickens.

  5. 5

Meanwhile, steam the bok choy in a separate pot or steamer basket for 3‑4 minutes until tender‑crisp.

  6. 6

Serve the glazed chicken thighs over the steamed bok choy, drizzling any remaining glaze from the pan.
