Ingredients

  • 200 g Noodles (wheat or ramen-style)
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Rice vinegar(optional)
  • 3 stalks Scallions
  • 1 clove Garlic(optional)
  • 1 tsp Ginger (fresh)(optional)
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame seeds(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook the noodles according to package directions until just tender, then drain and reserve a splash of cooking water.

  2. 2

While the noodles cook, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey (or brown sugar), and rice vinegar (if using). If using garlic and ginger, finely mince and stir them into the sauce.

  3. 3

Toss the hot noodles with the sauce. Add a teaspoon or two of reserved cooking water if needed to loosen and evenly coat.

  4. 4

Slice scallions and toss most into the noodles. Serve topped with remaining scallions and sesame seeds (if using).
