Ingredients

  • 2 fillets Salmon fillets
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce (low-sodium if desired)
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Rice vinegar(optional)
  • 1 clove Garlic(optional)
  • 1 tsp Fresh ginger(optional)
  • 1 tbsp Neutral oil (for pan)

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep (10 minutes): Pat salmon dry. If using, mince garlic and grate ginger. In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and rice vinegar; stir in garlic and ginger if using.

  2. 2

Cook (18 minutes): Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add neutral oil. Place salmon skin-side down (if applicable) and sear 4–5 minutes until browned. Flip and cook 3–4 minutes more.

  3. 3

Glaze: Reduce heat to medium. Pour in the sauce and simmer, spooning over the salmon, 6–8 minutes until the glaze thickens and salmon is cooked through.

  4. 4

Finish: Turn off heat and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Rest 1 minute, then serve.
