Ingredients

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (canola/avocado)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 medium bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds(optional)
  • 2 tbsp green onions, sliced(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Press tofu (if not pre-pressed), then cut into 1/2-inch cubes. Toss with cornstarch until evenly coated.

  2. 2

Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add tofu in a single layer and cook 6–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until crisp and golden.

  3. 3

Add broccoli, bell pepper, and carrot to the pan with the tofu. Stir-fry 4–5 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.

  4. 4

Stir in garlic and ginger for 30 seconds. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, and water; toss to coat and simmer 30–60 seconds until the sauce lightly clings.

  5. 5

Serve immediately, topped with sesame seeds and green onions if using.
