- 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup Plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1/4 cup Warm water(optional)
- 2 tablespoons Melted butter
- 1 teaspoon Minced garlic(optional)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh cilantro(optional)
Instructions
- 1
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- 2
Make a well in the center and add the yogurt and olive oil, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
- 3
Add warm water one tablespoon at a time if the dough is too dry; it should be soft but not sticky.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 3-5 minutes until smooth.
- 5
Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each into an oval shape about 1/4 inch thick.
- 6
Heat a heavy cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease with a drop of oil.
- 7
Place one naan in the hot skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form on the surface and the bottom is charred.
- 8
Flip and cook the other side for another minute, then brush with melted butter and garlic while hot.
