Ingredients

  • 450 g Ground pork
  • 12 leaves Green cabbage leaves (large, for wrappers)
  • 3 Green onions
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp Coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed red pepper flakes(optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Blanch cabbage leaves in boiling water for 1-2 minutes until pliable, then pat dry thoroughly. (10 min prep)

  2. 2

Finely chop green onions, garlic, and ginger. In a bowl, combine ground pork, egg, coconut aminos, rice vinegar, green onions, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well. (15 min prep)

  3. 3

Place 2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each cabbage leaf, fold sides over, and roll up tightly to seal. Repeat with remaining filling. (25 min prep)

  4. 4

Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place dumplings seam-side down and fry 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy on the bottom.

  5. 5

Add 1/2 cup water to the skillet, cover, and steam 8-10 minutes until filling is cooked through. Uncover and cook 1 more minute to re-crisp bottoms. Serve hot.
