Ingredients

  • 180 g Spaghetti
  • 400 g Crushed tomatoes
  • 480 ml Water
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano(optional)
  • 0.5 tsp Salt(optional)
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper(optional)
  • 10 g Fresh basil
  • 30 g Parmesan cheese (finely grated)

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep (10 minutes): Mince the garlic and roughly chop the basil. Grate the Parmesan if needed.

  2. 2

In a medium pot, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 3

Add crushed tomatoes, water, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a gentle boil.

  4. 4

Add spaghetti to the pot, breaking it in half if needed. Stir well, reduce to a simmer, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce thickens (about 20 minutes).

  5. 5

Finish: Turn off the heat. Stir in remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, basil, and Parmesan until glossy and well combined. Serve immediately.
