Ingredients

  • 180 g Spaghetti (or linguine)
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley(optional)
  • 1 tsp Dried Italian herbs (oregano/basil mix)(optional)
  • 1 tbsp Mareco-style seasoning
  • 1 ea Lemon
  • 0.5 tsp Salt(optional)
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper(optional)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti until al dente, then reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain.

  2. 2

While pasta cooks (about 10 minutes prep total), mince the garlic and chop the parsley. Zest and juice the lemon.

  3. 3

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with the olive oil (if using). Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30–60 seconds), then stir in Italian herbs and parsley.

  4. 4

Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. Add a splash of reserved pasta water as needed to loosen.

  5. 5

Turn off heat, then toss with Mareco-style seasoning and finish with lemon juice (and a little zest if desired). Taste and adjust with black pepper.
