Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt (unsweetened)
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (grated)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander(optional)
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp paprika or Kashmiri chili powder(optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper(optional)
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp lime juice(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, mix ground turkey with garlic, ginger, cumin, garam masala, turmeric, paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Add 2–3 tbsp yogurt to help bind (reserve the rest for raita).

  2. 2

Form into 4 patties. Chill 10 minutes for better browning.

  3. 3

For raita: blend or finely chop spinach and stir into remaining yogurt. Add lime juice (optional) and a pinch of salt. Chill until ready.

  4. 4

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with oil. Cook patties 4–6 minutes per side until browned and cooked through (165°F / 74°C).

  5. 5

Rest patties 3 minutes. Serve with spinach raita on the side (or spoon over the patties).
