Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt (unsweetened)
  • 4 spinach
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp tandoori masala (or garam masala + paprika)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 medium cucumber, diced(optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, mix turkey with garlic, ginger, lemon juice, tandoori masala, cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, and the egg. Form into 4 patties.

  2. 2

Sear patties in a hot skillet with oil 2–3 minutes per side until browned.

  3. 3

Transfer to a baking sheet and bake at 400°F (205°C) for 8–10 minutes until cooked through.

  4. 4

For spinach yogurt: wilt chopped spinach in a dry pan 1–2 minutes, then squeeze out excess moisture.

  5. 5

Stir spinach into yogurt; season with a pinch of salt and lemon juice if needed. Add cucumber/cilantro if using.

  6. 6

Serve burgers topped with spinach yogurt (skip buns for low-carb).
