Ingredients

  • 450 g Ground lamb
  • 1 large Eggs
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger
  • 2 tsp Ground cumin
  • 2 tsp Ground coriander
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 bag Spinach
  • 900 g Cauliflower
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 240 ml Water(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Make cauliflower mash: steam cauliflower florets until very tender (10–12 minutes). Drain well and mash with 1 tbsp olive oil; season with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

Mix meatballs: in a bowl combine ground lamb, egg, minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, salt, and black pepper. Form small meatballs.

  3. 3

Heat remaining 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet. Brown meatballs in batches until seared on all sides (6–8 minutes total).

  4. 4

Add 1/2 cup water to skillet; cover and simmer 10–12 minutes until cooked through.

  5. 5

Wilt spinach in the same pan (or separate pot) with a splash of water until just soft; season to taste.

  6. 6

Serve meatballs over cauliflower mash with spinach on the side.
