Ingredients

  • 2 6 oz fillets salmon fillets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves, minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar(optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil(optional)
  • 2 sliced green onions(optional)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper (about 2 minutes).

  2. 2

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil (about 2 minutes).

  3. 3

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon fillets skin-side up and sear for 4 minutes until golden (4 minutes).

  4. 4

Flip the fillets, pour the honey soy glaze into the pan, and cook 5-6 minutes, spooning the sauce over the salmon as it thickens and coats the fillets (6 minutes).

  5. 5

Remove from heat, rest 1 minute, then plate and drizzle with remaining glaze. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve (1 minute).
