Ingredients
- 2 6-ounce portions Salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Toasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds(optional)
- 1 stalk Green onions, sliced(optional)
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
Instructions
- 1
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and honey to create the marinade.
- 2
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Place them in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them, letting them sit for 5 minutes.
- 3
Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- 4
Place the salmon skin-side up in the pan. Sear for 4-5 minutes until a golden crust forms.
- 5
Flip the salmon carefully. Pour the remaining marinade into the pan.
- 6
Cook for another 4-5 minutes, spooning the sauce over the fish as it thickens into a glaze.
- 7
Remove from heat once the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- 8
Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
