Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.

  2. 2

Place the shrimp in a large bowl or sealable bag and pour half of the honey garlic mixture over them. Let marinate for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp to the pan, discarding the marinade they were sitting in.

  4. 4

Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Pour the remaining half of the sauce into the skillet.

  5. 5

Simmer the sauce for 1-2 minutes until it thickens into a sticky glaze that coats the shrimp. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
