Ingredients

  • 200 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry or rice wine
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 stem green onions, sliced(optional)
  • to taste ground black pepper(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat (about 30 seconds).

  2. 2

Add the minced garlic and stir‑fry for 15–20 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 3

Add the shrimp and stir‑fry for 2–3 minutes, or until they turn pink and are just cooked through.

  4. 4

Stir in the soy sauce and rice wine, tossing to coat the shrimp evenly; cook an additional 1 minute to let the sauce reduce slightly.

  5. 5

Season with black pepper, then remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions if using. Serve immediately.
