Ingredients

  • 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 5 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup Dry white wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes(optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter(optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 Lemon(optional)
  • for serving Crusty bread or cooked couscous
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and black pepper (5 minutes).

  2. 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (2 minutes).

  3. 3

Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook 1-2 minutes per side until just pink. Remove shrimp to a plate (4 minutes).

  4. 4

Add cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook 2 minutes, then pour in the white wine, scraping up any browned bits. Simmer until reduced by half, about 3 minutes (5 minutes).

  5. 5

Return shrimp to the pan, add butter, and toss to coat in the sauce. Warm through for 1 minute (1 minute).

  6. 6

Off heat, stir in parsley and squeeze lemon over the top. Serve immediately over crusty bread or couscous (2 minutes).
