Ingredients

  • 1 lb Spaghetti
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 24 oz Marinara Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 to taste Salt and Black Pepper
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese(optional)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente.

  2. 2

While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).

  4. 4

Stir in the diced onions and cook for 3-4 minutes until translucent, then add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more.

  5. 5

Stir in the tomato paste and dried oregano, cooking for 2 minutes to deepen the flavor.

  6. 6

Pour in the marinara sauce, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes while the pasta finishes.

  7. 7

Drain the spaghetti and toss it directly into the sauce or serve the sauce over individual portions of pasta.

  8. 8

Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley before serving.
