  • 32 ounces Marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped(optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 pinch Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

Boil the ziti in salted water until slightly underdone (al dente), about 2 minutes less than the package directions.

  3. 3

In a medium bowl, whisk the egg and then stir in the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella, half the Parmesan, oregano, garlic powder, and parsley.

  4. 4

Drain the pasta and return it to the pot; toss with 2 cups of the marinara sauce to coat evenly.

  5. 5

Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  6. 6

Layer half of the pasta, followed by dollops of the ricotta mixture, then the remaining pasta and the rest of the sauce.

  7. 7

Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

  8. 8

Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly, then let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
