Ingredients
- 12 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp chicken stock or water
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp neutral oil (e.g., canola)
- 6 oz noodles (lo mein or linguine)
- 2 stalks green onions, sliced(optional)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper(optional)
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes(optional)
Instructions
- 1
Cook the noodles according to package directions until just tender; drain and set aside.
- 2
In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, chicken stock (or water), brown sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.

Lower heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic; sauté 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- 5
Pour in the soy glaze mixture and simmer 1–2 minutes until glossy and slightly thickened.
- 6
Add shrimp back to the pan, toss to coat, then add drained noodles. Toss 1–2 minutes until noodles are evenly coated and hot.
- 7
Finish with black pepper and red pepper flakes (if using). Serve topped with green onions (if using).
