Ingredients

  • 300 g pork tenderloin or pork strips
  • 300 g frozen mixed vegetables
  • 200 g pasta
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp five-spice powder
  • 1/2 tsp sugar(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain.

  2. 2

Slice pork thinly. Dice onion; mince garlic.

  3. 3

Heat a wok or skillet over high heat. Add oil and sear pork 2–3 minutes until browned.

  4. 4

Add onion and garlic; stir-fry 30–60 seconds.

  5. 5

Add frozen mixed vegetables. Stir-fry 4–6 minutes until crisp-tender; keep heat high to avoid sogginess.

  6. 6

Whisk soy sauce, vinegar, five-spice, sugar (if using), and water. Pour into the pan.

  7. 7

Add drained pasta and toss vigorously 1–2 minutes, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.

  8. 8

Taste and adjust seasoning; serve immediately.
