Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 3 cloves garlic cloves, minced
- 0.25 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 medium red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 0.25 cup green onions, sliced(optional)
- 0.25 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- 1
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, chicken broth, and cornstarch to create the glaze sauce.
- 2
Heat one tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat until shimmering.
- 3
Add the chicken strips in a single layer and sear for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, then remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
- 4
Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the same pan and toss in the broccoli and red bell peppers, stir-frying for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
- 5
Stir in the minced ginger and garlic, cooking for only 30 seconds until fragrant to avoid burning.
- 6
Return the cooked chicken to the pan and pour the glaze sauce over the mixture.
- 7
Toss everything continuously for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and vegetables evenly.
- 8
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately over steamed white rice.
