Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Italian sub rolls or mini baguettes
  • 8 pieces Cooked breaded chicken tenders
  • 1.5 cups Marinara sauce
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 pinch Red pepper flakes(optional)

Instructions

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Using a small knife, hollow out the center of each sub roll, leaving a 1/2-inch shell to create a boat shape.

    In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and oregano.

    Brush the inside and outside of each hollowed roll generously with the garlic butter mixture.

    Spread 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce inside each roll, then place two chicken tenders into each cavity.

    Top the chicken with the remaining marinara sauce, followed by a generous layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

    Place the subs on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
