Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese five‑spice powder
  • 4 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Stevia or erythritol (optional sweetener)(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, five‑spice powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and the optional sweetener to create the marinade.

  2. 2

Add the chicken thighs to the bowl, ensuring each piece is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes (up to 2 hours) while you preheat the grill.

  3. 3

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium‑high heat (about 400°F/200°C). Lightly oil the grates.

  4. 4

Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Grill the thighs skin‑side down for 6‑7 minutes, then flip and grill another 6‑7 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and a charred crust forms.

  5. 5

Transfer the cooked thighs to a cutting board, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
