Ingredients
- 450 g Pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
- 3 Tbsp Low‑sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp Fresh ginger, minced
- 2 Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp Erythritol (or other low‑carb sweetener)
- 1 Tbsp Rice vinegar
- 1 tsp Fish sauce
- 1/2 tsp Chinese five‑spice powder
- 1 Tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Lime, juiced
- 9 Butter lettuce leaves, separated
- 2 Tbsp Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish(optional)
Instructions
- 1
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ginger, garlic, erythritol, rice vinegar, fish sauce, five‑spice powder, and lime juice to create the Char Siu sauce.
- 2
Add the sliced pork to the sauce, toss to coat, and let it marinate for 5 minutes while you prepare the pan.
- 3
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat; add the pork in a single layer and stir‑fry for 3‑4 minutes until the edges are lightly charred and the pork is cooked through.
- 4
Transfer the cooked pork to a plate and let it rest for 2 minutes, then slice any larger pieces into bite‑size strips.
- 5
Arrange butter lettuce leaves on a serving platter, spoon the Char Siu pork into each leaf, drizzle any remaining pan juices over the top, and garnish with cilantro if desired.
