Ingredients

  • 200 g Spaghetti
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 Red chili
  • 2 tbsp Fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 Lime(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente, about 10 minutes. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain.

  2. 2

While the pasta cooks, heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sliced chili and stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 3

Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and the reserved pasta water. Toss well to coat, about 1-2 minutes.

  4. 4

Remove from heat and stir in the Thai basil leaves until wilted. Squeeze lime juice over the top, toss once more, and serve immediately.
