Ingredients
- 250 g firm tofu
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp neutral cooking oil
- 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 clove garlic(optional)
- 0.25 tsp salt(optional)
- 0.25 tsp ground white pepper(optional)
Instructions
- 1
Prep (10 minutes): Pat tofu dry and cut into bite-size cubes. If using garlic, finely mince it. In a bowl, lightly beat the eggs with salt and white pepper.
- 2
Cook (15 minutes): Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu and pan-fry, turning occasionally, until golden and crisp, about 8–10 minutes. Stir in minced garlic (if using) for the last 30–60 seconds.
- 3
Cook (15 minutes): Push tofu to one side of the pan. Pour in beaten eggs and scramble gently until just set, then fold together with the tofu and cook 2–3 minutes more.
- 4
Finish: Mix kecap manis with water and drizzle over the tofu-egg. Serve immediately.
