Ingredients

  • 1 large, peeled and cut into sticks Jicama
  • 2 tbsp tbsp Olive oil
  • 1.5 tsp tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp tsp Garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp tsp Salt
  • 2 Lime
  • 1/4 tsp tsp Cayenne pepper(optional)
  • 1/4 cup, chopped Fresh cilantro(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 425°F. Parboil jicama sticks in salted water for 10 minutes and drain thoroughly, patting dry — this step is key for tenderness inside and crispness outside.

  2. 2

Toss sticks with olive oil, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne until evenly coated.

  3. 3

Spread in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet without crowding.

  4. 4

Bake 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway, until edges are browned and crisp.

  5. 5

Finish with juice of one lime and a shower of chopped cilantro. Serve hot with lime wedges.
