Ingredients
- 12 oz Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce (low-sodium if available)
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Lemon zest(optional)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Unsalted butter(optional)
- 0.5 tsp Red pepper flakes(optional)
- 6 oz Quick-cook pasta (linguine or spaghetti)
- 0.25 tsp Black pepper(optional)
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped(optional)
Instructions
- 1
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the quick-cook pasta according to package directions until al dente; reserve about 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
- 2
While the pasta cooks (about 10 minutes total prep), pat shrimp dry and mince garlic.
- 3
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic (and red pepper flakes if using) and sauté 30–45 seconds until fragrant.
- 4
Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through.
- 5
Stir in soy sauce, lemon juice, and lemon zest (if using). Add butter (if using) and toss to coat. If needed, loosen with a splash of reserved pasta water.
- 6
Add drained pasta to the skillet and toss 30–60 seconds until glossy and evenly coated. Season with black pepper and top with parsley (if using). Serve immediately.
