Ingredients

  • 1 can (5 oz / 140 g) canned tuna (in olive oil or water), drained
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp capers, drained
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 180 g pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
  • 1/4 tsp salt(optional)
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until al dente, about 10–12 minutes; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.

  2. 2

While the pasta cooks, mix olive oil, lemon juice, capers, and chopped parsley in a large bowl. Add the drained tuna and stir to combine.

  3. 3

Add the hot drained pasta to the tuna mixture. Toss, adding a splash of reserved pasta water as needed to loosen and coat the pasta. Season with black pepper (and salt only if needed). Serve immediately.
