Ingredients

  • 6 sticks Mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 3 sheets Nori sheets
  • 3/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Marinara sauce
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut each nori sheet into strips wide enough to wrap around each mozzarella stick; wrap one strip snugly around each stick (moistening the edge with water to seal).

  2. 2

Set up a breading station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in a second, and panko mixed with garlic powder in a third. Dredge each wrapped stick in flour, dip in egg, then coat in panko. Freeze breaded sticks for 5 minutes to firm up.

  3. 3

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering (about 350°F).

  4. 4

Fry the sticks in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, turning until golden and crispy on all sides.

  5. 5

Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
