Ingredients

Servings:6
  • 250 grams Ground pork or minced shrimp
  • 1 cup Sweet potato (kamote), julienned
  • 1 cup Green beans, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup Carrots, julienned
  • 3 cloves/1 bulb Garlic and Onion
  • 2 pieces Eggs (for wrappers)
  • 1 cup Cornstarch or All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Crushed roasted peanuts
  • 12 pieces Fresh lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. 1

Sauté garlic and onions in a pan, then add the pork or shrimp and cook until browned.

  2. 2

Add the sweet potato, carrots, and green beans, cooking until slightly tender before adding the cabbage.

  3. 3

Season the vegetable filling with salt and pepper, then drain any excess liquid and set aside to cool.

  4. 4

To make wrappers, whisk eggs, 1 cup water, and flour until smooth; pour a thin layer into a non-stick pan to create light crepes.

  5. 5

For the sauce, simmer water, brown sugar, and soy sauce in a pot, then thicken with a cornstarch slurry.

  6. 6

Lay a wrapper flat, place a piece of lettuce on top so it sticks out of the edge, and add 2-3 tablespoons of filling.

  7. 7

Roll the wrapper tightly, tucking in one end while leaving the top open.

  8. 8

Pour the sweet sauce over the roll and garnish generously with crushed peanuts and minced raw garlic.
