Ingredients

  • 2 fillets Salmon fillets
  • 1 cup Cooked white rice
  • 1/2 medium Cucumber
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 tsp Fresh ginger(optional)
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds(optional)
  • 1 tsp Neutral oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep (10 minutes): Pat salmon dry. Mince garlic (and ginger if using). Slice cucumber into thin half-moons.

  2. 2

Cook (15 minutes): Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add neutral oil. Place salmon in the pan and cook 4–5 minutes per side until browned and just cooked through.

  3. 3

Make glaze: In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic (and ginger if using). Pour into the skillet and simmer 1–2 minutes, spooning glaze over salmon until glossy.

  4. 4

Assemble: Divide rice into 2 bowls. Top with salmon, add cucumber, and drizzle any remaining honey-soy glaze from the pan. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
