Ingredients
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Water
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups Vegetable oil
- 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla extract(optional)

In a small bowl, mix the 0.5 cup sugar and cinnamon together; set aside on a shallow plate.

In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine water, butter, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.

Remove from heat and stir in the flour and vanilla extract immediately with a wooden spoon until a ball forms.

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 375°F (190°C).

Pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting the end with scissors. Do not overcrowd the pan.

Fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

While still warm, roll the churros in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until evenly coated.
