Grilled Chicken Parmesan

Ingredients
- 4 pieces Boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 1/2 cups Marinara sauce
- 8 ounces Fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup Fresh basil leaves, chiffonade
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Preheat your outdoor grill or indoor grill pan to medium-high heat (about 400°F).

Pound the chicken breasts to an even 1/2-inch thickness to ensure uniform cooking.

Rub chicken with olive oil and season both sides evenly with salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic powder.

Place chicken on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.

While the chicken is still on the grill, top each breast with 2-3 tablespoons of marinara sauce.

Place a slice of mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese over the sauce on each breast.

Close the grill lid for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from heat, garnish with fresh basil, and let rest for 3 minutes before serving.
