Ingredients

  • 2 pieces chicken cutlets (thinly sliced chicken breast)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep (15 minutes): Pat the chicken cutlets dry, then season both sides with salt and black pepper. Lightly dredge each cutlet in flour, shaking off excess.

  2. 2

Cook (about 10 minutes): Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cutlets and pan-sear until golden and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.

  3. 3

Cook (about 10 minutes): Lower heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet; once melted, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30–60 seconds.

  4. 4

Finish (about 5 minutes): Stir in Parmesan and lemon juice (if using) until glossy. Return cutlets to the skillet and spoon the garlic-Parmesan butter over them for 1–2 minutes to coat and warm through. Serve immediately.
