Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken wings
  • 1 cup Hickory wood chips
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat a smoker to 225°F (107°C) and add the hickory wood chips.

  2. 2

Pat the chicken wings dry, then toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika.

  3. 3

Place the wings on the smoker rack and smoke for 35 minutes, turning once halfway through.

  4. 4

While the wings are smoking, melt butter in a small pan over low heat and add minced garlic; cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

  5. 5

After smoking, brush the garlic butter glaze over the wings and return to the smoker for an additional 5‑7 minutes to caramelize.

  6. 6

Remove the wings, let rest for 2 minutes, then serve hot.
