Ingredients

Servings:4
  • 2 pounds Chicken wings (flats and drumettes)
  • 1 quart Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup Frank's RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 stalks Celery sticks(optional)
  • 1/2 cup Blue cheese dressing(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels to ensure maximum crispiness.

  2. 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  3. 3

Fry the wings in batches for 10-12 minutes until they are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  4. 4

While the wings are frying, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.

  5. 5

Whisk the hot sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper into the melted butter until smooth.

  6. 6

Remove the wings from the oil and drain them on a wire rack or paper towels for 1 minute.

  7. 7

Place the hot wings in a large stainless steel bowl, pour the sauce over them, and toss until evenly coated.

  8. 8

Serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side.
